We
think you'll agree that we go beyond the normal "website design".
The intention behind our work and our web design process is
to increase your exposure with a website that:
- represents
your company well
- is
targeted towards your particular industry and customers
- has
easy navigation and is easy to use
- is
designed to sell
- structurally
designed from the ground up to perform well in search engines
- and
we include a promotional package to get the message out
broadly.
Our Design Process in Action
 |
The Initial Consultation |
We
realize you have questions and we need to find out
what you need. During initial consultations, we'll gather
information about your website, and how it relates to your
business, its operations, and your goals for the Internet.
We'll identify your target audience, key search terms, and
note your ideas and preferences for the website, how it will
function, and "look and feel."
At
this point, the breadth of the project begins to take shape,
and we will present a cost proposal.
If
you accept it, we go forward with your website.

1.
Planning |
Here's
where we get down to business!
We'll
conduct strategy sessions with you, and will decide upon the
essential elements needed for your website. We'll make recommendations
about "look and feel" pertinent to your business and customers,
logo, graphic images, distribution and flow of information
through the site, what it will take to make the website easy
for your customers to use, and will identify and recommend
strategies, necessary components and resources required to
implement the website and your web promotion campaign.
We'll
also gather from you any necessary information about your
company and services and products, for conversion into ad
copy because, while we are experts at what we do, you
are the expert at your business and you know your customers.
 |
2. Website Design |
This
is where, with the information and ideas gathered from our
strategy sessions, we begin to design a proposed layout. This
will include "look and feel" and the issue of what needs to be on the website (and what doesn't).
A
good deal of our time goes into determining how the sections
of the site should be linked together. If you've ever visited
a website where you couldn't find what you wanted or
couldn't figure out how to get it you know what we
mean.
The
layout will be uploaded to a password-protected area of our
website, and we'll review the project with you for your input
and approval. In this way, we can discuss the website and
make changes, even at a distance the World Wide Web
and the telephone make this possible.
Once
approved, we go into full production of your website. Ad copy
is written from your materials and input, and images are created
to enhance the customer's perception of your company and its
services or products.
If
necessary, we will also arrange for registration of a domain
name ("yourdomain.com") and hosting for your website.
Again,
your input and approval will be sought. Our production team
will go over the site minutely, testing each of its parts
for design, information flow and functionality of links and
interactive sections. We also test the site in a variety of
browsers and monitor sizes, making corrections as necessary
until we arrive at your completed website.
 |
3. Website Launch and Promotion |
Once testing is completed and you have approved
the final website, we will place it on its own webspace on the
Internet. Your website is now "live" to the world!
At
this point, you need traffic to your website. We now begin
promoting it by submitting it to the major search engines
(such as AltaVista, HotBot, Fast and Google). These search
engines will visit your site, and will schedule it for inclusion
in their search results.
We'll
also carefully craft submissions to the major directories
(such as Yahoo!, LookSmart, and the Netscape Open Directory
Project). Although these directories are major sources of
traffic to websites, they do not guarantee they'll list anyone
however, we must say that we have been very successful
in getting our clients' websites listed.
And
that's it your website is live, and you can now start
enjoying traffic from the World Wide Web.
 |
4. Maintenance, Promotion and Review |
When your website has been live for a period
of time, we'll consult with you to get your reactions to the
site, review your hit logs with you, and go over any indicated
changes. If warranted, we'll make recommendations for further
enhancements to ensure that your website remains up-to-date
and has any information or functionality crucial to maintaining
and increasing website traffic and sales.
We
can also arrange for updates, periodic submissions to search
engines, check its performance and functionality and maintain
your website over the long term, and make recommendations based
on your company's needs. |
