IT MANAGEMENT
Currently I work at NASA - Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. I work under the UNITeS contract and SAIC. I currently focus my attention to the Science & Mission Systems Office, where I am the Information Technology Security & Operations Advisor and Webmaster. I love working with this awesome team, however my contractor supervisor doesn't care.
In June of 2007, I received my Masters Degree in Information Systems/Management, however the management of UNITeS didn't feel my Masters Degree was worth a raise. Therefore, I am looking for a new position where I can use my degree, and where I am more appreciated. I hope to eventually get in to an executive level IT management position in a company where I can have an effective career. Security, and appreciation for hard work is paramount in looking for the right position that will take me to retirement in 30 years.
TEACHING as a instructor
I want to make a difference, and the two ways I can do this is to manage and teach. I am looking into the future where I will be teaching as a second position, until I retire. Then I will most likely teach full time. Currently I am focusing my attention getting a online Adjunct Instructor teaching position and a Adjunct Instructor position locally.
The Future
If I can effectively and productively help one person become an innovative individual where he/she can make a difference in the future, I would have successfully made this world a better place. I predict that by the year 2019, thanks to information technology (IT), humans will have largely overcome the limits of our humanity. We will have found cures for the major diseases that kill 95 percent of us in the developed world.
I see that there will be the elimination of what we call the generalist, and this will open the door for a high performance worker and specialist. The workers of tomorrow will have a collection of attributes that should be reviewed in detail. This person is a subject matter expert is some field where they are the best in the field. I hope in my management, I have the best of the best! |
